about

Born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Erika Tormos began her academic journey in biotechnology at the University of Puerto Rico in 2007. However, her creative spirit led her to pivot at 21, leaving her studies to explore the exciting worlds of art and business.

Since childhood, Erika nurtured a passion for design, technology, and visual arts. Self-taught in graphic design, she launched her first ready-to-wear clothing brand, Boys Society, in 2016, inspired by her son, Iker. This marked the beginning of her career in fashion, with production based in Lima, Peru.

In 2017, Erika received three nominations from Caribbean Business in the categories of Puerto Rico's POWER 100 Executives, POWER 100 Brands, and POWER 100 Companies. That same year, she expanded her portfolio by creating exclusive pieces and upcycled designs for renowned Latin artists such as Ozuna and Lunay.

In 2018, Erika began formal training in fashion design at Centromoda Design School in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Her graduate collection earned the Cutting and Tailoring Award in 2020, further strengthening her reputation as a talented designer.

In 2021, she advanced her expertise at The Fashion Fit Studio, a high-fashion incubator in Mexico City and Barcelona. Her specialized training includes couture corsetry, high-end structures, and drapery techniques.

By 2022, Erika established her private design studio in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Today, her dedication to craftsmanship and innovation inspires private clients and collaborations in the entertainment industry, reflecting her vision for fashion beyond the spotlight.
